Surprise Inside Chocolate Chip Cookies


Ingredients

  • Chocolate chip cookie dough (See notes for our favorite recipe)

Filings

  • Peanut Butter
  • Reese’s Cups
  • Oreos
  • Girl Scout Cookies
  • Salted caramel sauce
  • Butterscotch sauce or chips
  • Chocolate covered cherries
  • Etc… Be creative! The options are endless!

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven as per your recipe’s instructions. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Scoop one ball of cookie dough and press it flat. Put your toppings in the middle (Yes, toppings plurarl- doubling up on toppings can make for some awesome combos!) and curl the edges of the dough up around the filling, and then cover it up with some more dough. (These will be big cookies!)
  3. Spread out at least three inches apart on a baking sheet (so they don’t spread out and touch each other.) You’ll have to do less cookies per sheet than normal… But it’s worth it.
  4. Bake according to your recipe’s instructions. You may have to bake them a little bit longer, but check on them after the set amount of time just to be sure. Let them cool before removing them from the tray. I recommend eating these warm- especially the Oreo ones, or the Nutella or peanut butter ones- but they’re also delicious at room temperature.
